About this experience
Step into a hidden machiya townhouse in Higashiyama and experience an authentic Japanese tea ceremony. Your host, a certified tea master, will guide you through each gesture — from purifying the utensils to whisking your own bowl of matcha. You will also enjoy a seasonal wagashi sweet.
No prior knowledge is needed. The session is conducted in English and Japanese, and photos are welcome after the ceremony.
